Michael Jackson’s Son Speaks Out on Family Meltdown: ‘I’m Really Angry and Hurt’

Michael Jackson's oldest child tweeted his dismay about his family drama Thursday

Michael Jackson's eldest son, Prince Michael Jackson Jr., has broken his silence on the messy situation his family has been embroiled in for the last week and a half, saying, "I'm really angry and hurt" over the treatment of his grandmother, Katherine Jackson.

Getty ImagesJackson, 15, wrote a tweet early Thursday morning, tearing into his aunts and uncles for their treatment of Katherine and posting an image of a text-message exchange purportedly banning them from speaking to their grandmother.

"As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways," Jackson wrote. "Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt."

He went on to say that he and his siblings — sister Paris and brother Prince Michael Jackson Jr. II (aka Blanket) — had been prohibited from speaking with their grandmother during her 10-day absence, during which she was holed up in Arizona under nebulous circumstances.

"For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother," Jackson wrote.

As proof, he reproduced an alleged screen grab of a group text message from Monday in which he wrote, "This is enough so I am texting you for the simple fact that WE DEMAND TO SPEAK TO MY GRANDMA NOW!!!"

The image indicates that his aunt, Janet Jackson, replied, "Don't let them pls."

Jackson ended his tweet with the quote, "If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth" and signed the tweet with his name, Michael Jackson Jr.

The Jackson family has been immersed in a drama of epic proportions this week, with Michael Jackson's brother Randy leading several of his siblings — including Janet — in a campaign to have attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain removed as executors of the deceased "Beat It" singer's estate for alleged fraudulent behavior. Randy has publicly claimed that Michael Jackson's will is a fraud. Randy and his siblings are not named in the will, which lists only his children and his mother as heirs.

It was also speculated that Katherine had been brought to Arizona against her will, a claim that she subsequently denied.

The worth of Jackson's estate has grown by many millions since the singer's 2009 death.

As the family friction grew, surveillance footage circulated of Janet Jackson apparently trying to slap Paris' cell phone out of her hand and upbraiding her for airing the family's dirty laundry via Twitter.

The drama came to a head on Wednesday, when a Los Angeles Superior Court judge awarded T.J. Jackson, the son of Michael's brother Tito, temporary guardianship of Michael's children, wresting away custody of the trio from Katherine.

Katherine, who has since returned to her Calabasas, Calif., home, has said that she is "devastated" by the loss of guardianship.

"I am devastated that while I've been away, my grandchildren have been taken away from me," Jackson told ABC News.
