Michael Moore and Bill Maher have pledged to take down Donald Trump before he reaches the White House in November.
“You and I are going to take him down. You and I,” Moore told Maher on Friday’s episode of “Real Time” on HBO. “No, seriously. This is the end of Donald Trump. He is not going to the White House. You tell me where to show up, I’ll be there.”
Moore’s vow stemmed from Maher asking the “Where to Invade Next” director how we can stop Donald Trump from becoming president because “no one seems to have a strategy.”
The filmmaker launched into an anecdote about meeting Trump many years earlier.
“I was on a show with him 15 years ago, on a talk show, and the producer came over to me and said, ‘Um, Mr. Trump’s afraid to go on the show with you, that you’re gonna do something or say something,'” Moore explained, adding that he then went over to shake Trump’s hand to find him “scared and whiny.”
However, Moore “didn’t notice the size [of his hands] at the time,” referencing accusations that go back 30 years when a Vanity Fair reporter described Trump as a “short-fingered vulgarian.” Marco Rubio brought up the joke at a campaign in March again.
