Minnie Driver and Sally Field Share a Unique Take on Why Ivanka Trump Is Not a ‘C–t’

So listen up, Samantha Bee

“Speechless” star Minnie Driver has a very interesting take on why Ivanka Trump could not be a “c–t,” despite what Samantha Bee called the nation’s first daughter.

“That was the wrong word for Samantha Bee to have used,” Driver tweeted on Thursday afternoon. “But mostly because (to paraphrase the French) Ivanka has neither the warmth nor the depth.”

It’s OK, we laughed too.

The “Good Will Hunting” alum is not the only one siding with the slang (and particularly nasty) term for part of the female anatomy.

Sally Field is on the same page, sort of. See here:

You get it.

One day after calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c–t” on her TBS show “Full Frontal,” Bee apologized for the joke, saying, “I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night. It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”

Her Turner network shouldered some of the blame as well, adding: “Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night. Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it.”

Finally, in case you missed it, here is Bee’s original remark in full: “Let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c–t!” He listens to you. Put on something tight and low cut and tell your father to f—ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes.”
