The 85th Academy Awards – make that simply, the Oscars – are finally here. They'll begin at 5:30 p.m. PT, 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday and will be broadcast live on ABC television.
First-time host Seth MacFarlane will kick things off from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood as the film industry honors the finest in cinematic achievement from 2012.
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are taking their first turn as producers of the show. It will be the first time the duo has been theater since 2003, when the movie they produced, "Chicago," was named Best Picture, and they've promised a show with plenty of singing and dancing. Performances by the cast of “Les Miserables,” Barbra Streisand, Norah Jones and Adele are planned.
The action start much earlier, of course. Beginning at 1:30 p.m. PT and running until 4 p.m., ABC will air "On the Red Carpet at the Oscars." From 4-5:30 p.m. PT, the station will air "Oscars Red Carpet Live from Dolby Theater in Hollywood," as the biggest stars make their arrivals.

The star power will be impressive. Among the Oscar presenters are Jessica Chastain, Halle Berry, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Kristen Stewart, Jane Fonda, Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington, Michael Douglas, Jamie Foxx, Paul Rudd, Salma Hayak, Melissa McCarthy, Liam Neeson, John Travolta, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lawrence.
