Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, Liv Tyler and James Marsden take a turn for the futuristic in director Jake Schreier's "Robot & Frank."
The film, which recently claimed the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at this year's Sundance Film Festival, follows aging ex-jewel thief Frank (the Oscar-nominated Langella) as he struggles to adjust to new technology.
This rejection of modernization holds particularly true when Frank's children deliver a robot programmed to look after him — that is, until Frank teams up with the robot to pick up his thieving ways once again, targeting the progressive youth attempting to re-vamp his precious library.
A tale of technology, thievery, love and friendship, "Robot & Frank" is set to hit U.S. theaters on Aug. 24. Until then, check out the trailer below.
