NBC has canceled “The Mysteries of Laura” after two seasons.

The older-skewing Debra Messing series had performed fairly well among total viewers, though it struggled to find enough of an audience in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic.

“Laura” followed a single mom (Messing) juggling wild twin boys, her unhelpful cop ex-husband, and a very busy career as an NYPD homicide detective. But not anymore.

NBC — like its broadcast competition — has been busy in the week preceding its upfront event. To make way for all of the new series it’s ordered, the network also had to cancel “Undateable,” “Crowded,” “Telenovela,” “Heartbeat” and “Game of Silence.”

Earlier on Saturday, NBC ordered “Blacklist” spinoff “Redemption” to series. That version centers on Ryan Eggold‘s Tom Keen character. The upcoming show also stars Famke Janssen.
