Nat Geo Wild has set the premiere date and released a new trailer for “Dog: Impossible,” the dog-training series starring dog behavior specialist Matt Beisner.
Formerly titled “Red Zone Dogs,” the project sees Beisner and trainer Stef DiOrio take on “some of the most dangerous, most aggressive and most misunderstood dogs in the country” via Beisner’s company, The Zen Dog, attempting to rehabilitate their behvior.
“Dog: Impossible” will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 8 on Nat Geo Wild. Watch an exclusive new trailer above, and read full episode descriptions below.
“From hardened hopelessness to real redemption, my personal transformation led me to create The Zen Dog, the world’s cutting-edge technique to help humans help dogs help themselves,” Beisner said in a statement. “Without treats, commands nor dominance-based methods, we continue to prove that there are no bad dogs. I’m able to teach people how to change their relationships with their dogs, which brings hope and peace back into their homes. ‘Dog: Impossible’ tells the stories of these transformations.”
ITV America’s High Noon Entertainment produces the series for Nat Geo WILD. Scott Feeley, Jim Berger and Corinna Robbins of High Noon exeucitve produce, with Amy Elkins serving as co-executive producer. Tracy Rudolph Jackson is executive producer for Nat Geo Wild.

“House Unrest”
Matt Beisner takes on three dogs that are in real danger of losing their homes or their lives. Moneypenny, a snuggly pug has some severe bullying issues. A beautiful Australian Shepherd named Whiskey strikes fear in his owners’ home. Pax brings no peace to his owners, who have had to cut themselves off from the outside world. Can Beisner transform these dogs and help them live happy lives?
“The Tormentor”
Matt Beisner takes on two cases, each on the brink of fatal encounters. The Presidents, a pack of five bulldogs, faces daily attacks within the home. Pax, a severely under-socialized pit mix, landed in the Top 10 Most Aggressive Dogs Beisner ever has worked with. Families are forced to make their worlds smaller for the safety of the dogs, so Beisner steps in with the hope of transforming lives
“Don’t Fear the Collar”
Matt Beisner helps two dogs with wild backgrounds – Agedashi, a previously feral blue heeler with violent reactions to strangers, and Lou, a neighborhood street dog with an extreme reactivity to collars. With animal services cracking down on feral dogs, Beisner must find a way to break through Lou’s fear of collars before he gets captured and put down.
“Dangerous Dynamics”
Matt Beisner helps rebuild two families with jealousy and trust issues. Kai & Goober were once bonded brothers but now need Beisner’s help to break up their life-endangering aggression. Frankie is a beautiful Chinese crested whose codependent household has turned him from a beautiful lover into a ferocious bully.

Matt Beisner helps repair two families that are on the brink of disaster. Newlyweds are faced with a heartbreaking decision when their rescue dog tests the strength of their marriage. Beisner helps a reformed killer dog come to grips with its fear-based aggression.

Matt Beisner helps two beautiful but aggressive dogs open up to the possibility of hope and love. A recent widow is at her wits’ end when her grieving guard dog goes into a downward spiral. A tight-knit family comes to terms with its crippling codependence in order to give its dog the social life it deserves.
