NATPE Names Matt Palmer Chief Marketing Officer

Exec will oversee marketing and branding initiatives in newly created position

The National Association of Television Program Executives has named Matt Palmer chief marketing officer, the professional organization announced Thursday.

Palmer will lead the organization’s global strategy and creative for marketing, branding, digital, research, public relations and strategic planning initiatives.

He has served in numerous senior strategic/brand marketing and business development roles across the entertainment and hospitality industries.

He has held roles at Demand Media, the Disney/ABC Cable Networks Group, Discovery Communications, Blue Man Group and Nickelodeon. Most recently he has served as an independent consultant.

“Matt’s extensive industry background and strategic competencies both in traditional and digital sectors make him a perfect fit for this newly created role,” said Rod Perth, NATPE’s President and CEO, in a statement.
