NBC averaged 436,000 viewers in the key 25-54 demographic across all five days of House hearings in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump — the most of any network.

Oddly enough, the Comcast-owned network also drew the least viewers overall!

According to early Nielsen Media Research, NBC took last place among the main cable and broadcast news networks, with 1.581 million total viewers.

In first place was Fox News, which averaged 2.504 million viewers for the five hearing days — which were Nov. 13, 15, 19, 20 and 21. In the advertiser-coveted 25-54 demo, Fox News has 378,000 viewers.

MSNBC was in second place for total overall viewers on those five days, averaging 2.482 million. MSNBC was last in the demo, as only 349,000 of those viewers were between 25-54.

CBS took third place with 1.820 million average total viewers (and 375,000 in the demo).

ABC brought in 1.750 million viewers, 413,000 of whom were in the 24-54 demo; while CNN snagged 1.681 million total viewers and 375,000 between 25-54.

The results of the five-day average track with the findings from early Nielsen data for Wednesday’s hearings: Wednesday, Fox News topped all other networks in total viewers, but NBC won in the key 25-54 demographic. NBC was also the least-viewed network overall.

Fox News maintained its lead over cable competitors CNN and MSNBC during Tuesday’s round of hearings, leading all networks in total viewers. However, all three broadcast networks had more demo viewers than all of the cable news networks in both the morning and afternoon sessions, which was also true for the five-day average.
