Netflix’s ‘Tarzan and Jane’ Among 4 New Animated Children’s Series Set for Release

Three of the series will premiere in 2016, while “Puffin Rock” will debut in September

Netflix’s “Tarzan and Jane” is among four new animated series being added to the children’s programming line-up, the streaming service announced Wednesday.

“Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan and Jane” will join”Kulipari: An Army of Frogs,” and Cirque du Soleil Media’s “Luna Petunia” on Netflix in 2016, while “Puffin Rock” is set to premiere on Sept. 1.

Netflix is also adding three first-run exclusive series. Russian series “Masha and the Bear” will debut in the U.S. in August. Nelvana Studios’ “The Day My Butt Went Psycho” debuts this month in the U.S., U.K., and Mexico. Meanwhile, Norwegian series “Elias” is available now in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with such a diverse group of creative talent on these new Netflix series for kids,” Erik Barmack, Netflix VP of global independent content, said in a statement. “The flexibility of our platform allows us to continually bring the best TV shows from around the world to our members, and these titles compliment and extend what we currently offer — particularly for preschoolers and grade school adventure fans.”
