Sinclair’s Eric Bolling Lands First TV Interview With New White House Press Secretary (Video)

Well over a month into her tenure as press secretary, Stephanie Grisham granted her first TV interview to the former Fox News host

Well over a month into her new gig, Stephanie Grisham did her first television interview as White House press secretary this week, bypassing Fox News for rival right-leaning network Sinclair and its “America This Week” host (and former Fox News staffer) Eric Bolling.

In the interview, broadcast Wednesday night, Grisham sidestepped a question about plans to bring back daily press briefings. “The president is his best spokesperson,” she said. “He is the most accessible president in modern history, so I don’t know what any of the press could complain about.”

Her interview followed an appearance by Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who has turned on President Trump in the last few days and says he no longer supports his re-election bid. Grisham called Scaramucci’s statements “nonsensical” and said that “his feelings just seem to be hurt.”

Bolling was suspended from Fox News in 2017 and then announced his departure from the channel after a brief internal investigation into a series of sexual misconduct accusations that were leveled against him.

On the same day of his departure, news also broke that his only son, Eric Chase, had died of a drug overdose.

In the months since, Bolling has largely reinvented himself, taking on America’s opioid crisis as a personal cause, getting a show on Mark Levin’s conservative platform CRTV, and now hosting “America This Week” for Sinclair.
