No D’ohs: Simpsons Renewed for 23rd Season

Show hopes to keep going for years to come, executive producer says

The Simpsons are going to run out of guest stars before they run out of episodes.

Fox's first family is confirmed for a 23rd season, which will bring its total run to at least 515 episodes, the network announced Thursday.

"Like many 22-year-olds, 'The Simpsons' is extremely happy remaining at home, on Fox, and hopes it doesn't have to go out into the real world for many years to come," said executive producer Al Jean.

Upcoming guest stars include Halle Berry, Paul Rudd, Ricky Gervais, Rachel Weisz, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Alyson Hannigan, Joe Mantegna, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Martha Stewart, and Katy Perry, who will appear in a live-action sequence with Simpsons puppets and will maybe, just maybe, wear the same thing she did with Elmo on "Sesame Street."
