No Doubt Sues Activision Over ‘Band Hero’ Likeness

Gwen Stefani-fronted band says it never agreed to have its avatars playing songs by other artists.

No Doubt is suing videogame maker Activision over use of the band’s likeness in the new "Guitar Hero" spinoff "Band Hero."
In a suit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the veteran ska-rock group claims that "Band Hero" users have the ability to manipulate No Doubt members, both collectively and individually, into singing popular songs by other artists — something the band said they didn’t sign up for.
