Oscar Isaac Faces Off Against Viggo Mortensen for Kirsten Dunst in ‘Two Faces of January’ Trailer (Video)

Isaac plays a tour guide who gets tangled up in a con man’s deadly game in the upcoming thriller from “Drive” writer Hossein Amini

Oscar Isaac has reunited with “Drive” writer Hossein Amini to star in his directorial debut, “The Two Faces of January.” Based on the first trailer, it appears to be another promising step in Isaac’s blossoming career.

The suspense thriller, based on a book by the author of “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” co-stars Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst as a married American couple on the run in Greece in 1962. Isaac plays a young, Greek-speaking American who is working as a tour guide and scamming tourists on the side. He agrees to help the mysterious couple find new identities and dispose of a body after someone they are running from catches up to them.

Isaac — who was nominated for a Golden Globe this year for his performance in “Inside Llewyn Davis” — won’t be singing in this, but it looks like he’ll be playing a cat-and-mouse game with Mortensen’s character once tensions mount over their mutual attraction to Dunst.

“Two Faces of January” is set to screen at the Berlin Film Festival before opening in the U.K. this spring. There is still no U.S. release date.
