“Hidden Figures,” “Passengers” and “La La Land” have won the top feature-film awards at the 21st Annual Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design Awards, which took place on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

“Hidden Figures” won the award in the period film category, “Passengers” won in the fantasy film category and “La La Land” won in the contemporary film category.

Over the last decade, four of the ADG winners in the period category and three of the winners in the fantasy category have gone on to win the Oscar for production design. Three films have won the Oscar without first winning the ADG award, though all were nominated by the guild.

This year’s Oscar nominees for production design include the ADG winners “La La Land” and “Passengers,” as well as “Arrival,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and “Hail, Caesar!”

In the TV categories, winners included “Westworld,”  “Mr. Robot,” “The Night Of,” “Mozart in the Jungle” and “The Great Indoors.”

The ceremony took place in the Ray Dolby Ballroom in the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

The show was hosted by Patton Oswalt, with the Cinematic Imagery Award going to director Brad Bird and Lifetime Achievement Awards going to production designer Rene Lagler, scenic artist Albert Obregon, set designer Cate Bangs and senior illustrator Joseph Musso.
