Fox News host Greg Gutfeld and former CNN host Piers Morgan got into a heated battle of wits on Tuesday night.
The Twitter feud, reminiscent of a verbal sparring match between children on a school playground, included everything from Morgan attacking Gutfeld’s height to Gutfeld calling Morgan as relevant as “a ball of cat hair.”
The exchange erupted after Morgan, who is now the editor of Daily Mail, appeared on Fox News’ “On The Record with Greta Van Susteren” to discuss the situation surrounding former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, who claimed that Donald Trump’s campaign manager assaulted her at a rally.
Gutfeld apparently didn’t like what he heard, as he tweeted out a 12-year-old BBC News story about Morgan being fired from the Daily Mirror.

Morgan responded by challenging Gutfeld to a debate:
Time you & I debated on TV, @greggutfeld. You always have plenty to say about me, let's see how you get on face to face…
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 6, 2016
Things got fun from there:
first, I'd need to figure out where your face is. https://t.co/CjpTwNOyJJ

About 1ft higher than yours. > RT @greggutfeld: first, I'd need to figure out where your face is. https://t.co/CUx5bnooeY

took you 10 minutes for a response. Meanwhile, you're about as a relevent as a ball of cat hair. ( your hair). https://t.co/fep4WoZcXO

Mate @greggutfeld, when it comes to relevance can you explain why I have ten times as many Twitter followers as you?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 6, 2016
i'm digging this. Relevance = twitter followers. Car accidents like yourself always gain larger audiences! https://t.co/TBnfPovNc1

I looked up @piersmorgan in the dictionary, & found a blank space. I showed it to a cat who said, "in the scheme of things, he's nothing."

What's the difference between @piersmorgan and an asshole? An asshole has a reason for stinking.

The two would go on to correct each other’s spelling before Morgan doubled down on the debate challenge, saying he’ll do it on Fox News.
