Radiohead and Rage Against the Machine have both earned nominations for induction into Cleveland, Ohio’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their very first year of eligibility. That said, Thom Yorke’s (pictured above) group might no-show the event, even if they’re ultimately selected.

“I’d rather be sitting at home in front of the fire or going to a gig,” bandmate Ed O’Brien told Rolling Stone in June when asked about the possible honor. “Brits are not very good at slapping ourselves on the back. It seems very showbiz and I’m not very showbiz.”

Here are the rest of the 2018 nominees, presumably with varying degrees of being “showbiz”:
Bon Jovi
Kate Bush
The Cars
Depeche Mode
Dire Straits
Eurythmics
J. Geils Band
Judas Priest
LL Cool J
MC5
The Meters
Moody Blues
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
Nina Simone
Sister Rosetta Tharpe
Link Wray
The Zombies

The other newbies above are Eurythmics, Dire Straits, Judas Priest, Kate Bush, The Moody Blues, Nina Simone, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of induction. Radiohead and Rage both dropped their first albums in 1992.

Actual inductees will be announced in December. The eventual ceremony airs annually on HBO.
