Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman’s “Making It” debuted Tuesday as the summer’s most-watched series premiere to-date. It certainly didn’t hurt that the NBC craftin’ and cobblin’ show followed the season’s top show, “America’s Got Talent.”

Still, it was a solid start for “Making It”and a cakewalk primetime win for NBC.

Telemundo ended up in second place last night among adults 18-49, though the silver medalist was way behind the gold. CBS finished as runner-up in terms of overall viewers — but its audience was still less than half the size of NBC’s.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 9.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” from 8 to 10 p.m. earned a 2.1/10 and 11.6 million viewers. “Making It” at 10 formed a 1.1/5 and 5.3 million viewers.

Telemundo was second in ratings with a 0.6/3, but fifth in viewers with 1.4 million.

Fox was third in ratings with a 0.5/3 and in viewers with 2 million. “Beat Shazam” at 8 had a 0.7/3 and 2.3 million viewers. “Love Connection” at 9 settled for a 0.4/2 and 1.6 million viewers.

CBS, ABC and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 0.4/2. CBS was second in total viewers with 4.6 million, ABC was fourth with 1.9 million, and Univision was sixth with 1.1 million.

CBS and ABC aired all reruns.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 767,000. “The 100” at 8 had a 0.3/1 and 895,000 viewers. “The Outpost” at 9 managed a 0.2/1 and 638,000 viewers.
