“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” must be loving its new precinct, NBC, right now, where it boasted its highest Nielsen ratings in two years among adults 18-49 with its debut Thursday night, according to preliminary numbers.

At 9 p.m., the Season 6 premiere, featuring Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy’s (Melissa Fumero) honeymoon, landed a 1.2 rating in the key demo, up 71 percent compared to the Dan Goor-comedy’s last season launch on its old network, Fox, which settled for a 0.7 rating in its 9:30 p.m. Tuesday slot on Sept. 26, 2017.

The show’s first episode on NBC is also a two-year high for the “Nine-Nine,” scoring the squad its best numbers since a special hour-long Sunday episode, which aired the night of an NFL overrun on Fox on Jan. 1, 2017, landed a 1.3 in the demo.

And, to top it all off, the first episode of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” to air on NBC saw a 50 percent increase over the 0.8 demo rating the network is currently averaging in that 9 p.m. Thursday slot this season.

The premiere was also the No. 1 most-social episode of a scripted comedy series of the 2018-19 season to date, across all of primetime television, with 858,900 “total interactions” across Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Though the “Nine-Nine” came in hot last night, their big transfer couldn’t help NBC overcome CBS’ sitcom block — which included the premiere of new comedy “Fam” — with the latter network taking both the key demo and total viewers wins for Thursday primetime.

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “The Big Bang Theory” earned a 2.4/11 and 13.3 million viewers. “Young Sheldon” at 8:30 got a 1.9/8 and 12 million viewers. At 9, “Mom” put up a 1.5/6 and 9.4 million viewers. At 9:30, the series premiere of “Fam” stuck a 1.2/5 and 7.3 million viewers. “S.W.A.T.” at 10 had a 0.9/4 and 5.8 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.2/5 and in viewers with 4.3 million. At 8, “The Titan Games” posted a 1.6/7 and 5.7 million viewers. At 9, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” got that above 1.2 rating, plus a 5 share and 3.6 million viewers. “The Good Place” returned at 9:30 with a 0.9/4 and 2.8 million viewers. At 19, “Law & Order: SVU” got a 0.8/4 and 4 million viewers.

Fox and ABC tied for third in ratings, each with a 0.7/3.

ABC was third in viewers with 3.3 million. Following a pair of encores, from 9-11 p.m. the “Truth and Lies: Monica and Bill” documentary special settled for a 0.7/3 and 3.7 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in viewers with 2.7 million. At 8, “Gotham” managed a 0.7/3 and 2.4 million viewers. “The Orville” at 9 had that same rating and share, but rose to 3 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.2 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 856,000. Following a “Supernatural” rerun, the “Roswell: Mysteries Decoded” special at 9 p.m. settled for a 0.2/1 and 936,000 viewers.
