A tight game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys yielded big ratings on Sunday night for NBC, which took the ratings crown for the evening, according to preliminary numbers.

Though the network’s numbers are approximate due to the nature of live sports, NBC currently holds a handy first place in both the key 18-49 demographic with a 6.5 rating/17 share, and dominated in total viewers with an average 19.2 million. Following “Football Night in America,” the game itself drew an 8.1/21 — a 47 percent leap from the previous week, though down 12  percent from the equivalent game last year — and grabbed 23.9 million total viewers.
