Fox’s new comedies “The Grinder” and “Grandfathered” debuted to decent ratings on Tuesday night, while “Limitless” on CBS retained all of its audience in the key demographic from its premiere last week.

The John Stamos led “Grandfathered” kicked things off, opening to a 1.5 rating/5 share in the advertiser coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 5.3 million viewers, according to preliminary numbers. Rob Lowe‘s “The Grinder” was about even with Stamos, generating a 1.5/5 and 4.9 million viewers.

The CBS drama “Limitless” held steady at 10 p.m. from its premiere week ratings with a 1.9/6 in the key demo and 9.6 million viewers overall. Though slightly down in viewers (9.8 million during its premiere), the freshman series retained all of its audience in the key demo from last week.

ABC’s “The Muppets” and Fox’s “Scream Queens” were both down in week two, with “Muppets” losing around 31 percent of its audience in the key demo with a 2.0/7 and 5.8 million viewers. “Scream Queens” was also down, losing about 15 percent of its audience from its two-hour premiere last week for a 1.4/5 and 3.6 million viewers.

However, “Scream Queens” saw a major boost in its numbers last week thanks to delayed and multi-platform viewing. The premiere episode added around 80 percent more viewers in live +3.

Fox and ABC tied for third in the key demo with a 1.5/5, but ABC was slightly ahead in total viewers with 4.7 million. “The Muppets” opened the network’s primetime block at 8, followed by “Fresh Off the Boat” at 8:30.
