Ratings: ‘The Voice’ Dominates as ‘Mindy,’ ‘Happy Endings,’ ‘New Girl’ and ‘Apt. 23’ Drop

CBS's "NCIS" is night's most-watched show with 18.3 million total viewers

NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice" hit a little harder this week, inching up in the ratings to give the network a decisive win, while ABC's comedies "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B—- in Apt. B," as well as Fox's "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project," took significant hits, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC took a solid first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 4.0 rating/10 share and second in total viewers with 10.8 million. "The Voice" from 8 to 10 p.m. inched up 7 percent from last week to take the night's top ratings with a 4.6/12 and drew 12 million total viewers. The NBC News special "Storm Sandy" posted a 2.9/8 and grabbed 8.3 million total viewers.

CBS drew second place in ratings and first in total viewers with a 2.6/7 and 15 million.  "NCIS" at 8 grew modestly for a 3.4/9 and took 18.3 million total viewers, making it the night's most-watched program, while "NCIS: LA" the following hour drew a 2.8/7 and took 16.1 million total viewers. The network's new drama "Vegas" at 10 inched up to a 1.7/4 and took 10.7 million total viewers.

Fox came in third in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a 1.7/5 and 3.8 million. "Raising Hope" at 8 and "Ben and Kate" at 8:30 both remained steady compared to last week, with the former drawing a 1.7/5 and taking 4 million total viewers and the latter posting a 1.4/4 and picking up 3 million total viewers. "New Girl" at 9 dropped 15 percent from last week, posting a 2.3/6 with 4.8 million total viewers, while "The Mindy Project" at 9:30 fell 21 percent from its last original airing three weeks ago, taking a 1.5/4 and grabbing 3.2 million total viewers.

ABC came in fourth in ratings and took third in total viewers with a 1.5/4 and 6.9 million. "Dancing With the Stars" at 8 dipped slightly from last week, receiving a 1.9/5 and taking 11.8 million total viewers. "Happy Endings" the following hour dropped 22 percent for a 1.4/4 and drew 4.7 million total viewers, while "Don't Trust the B—- in Apt. 23" at 9:30 dropped 29 percent from last week's season premiere, drawing a 1.2/3 and taking 3.4 million total viewers. "20/20: Storm Sandy" at 10 posted a 1.3/3 and had 4.8 million total viewers.
