‘Rectify’ Casts ‘Mad Men’ Alum Melinda Page Hamilton (Exclusive)

Aden Young, Abigail Spencer star on Season 3 of SundanceTV drama created by Ray McKinnon

SundanceTV’s “Rectify” has added “Mad Men” actress Melinda Page Hamilton to its Season 3 cast, TheWrap has learned.

The actress will play a therapist on the show, which follows Aden Young as Daniel Holden, a man adjusting to life as a free man after a technicality exonerated him for the 20-year-old rape and murder of his high school girlfriend.

In an exclusive clip (below), series creator Ray McKinnon says that the show has something of “Mad Men” in its DNA, and its unhurried narrative was inspiration for the showrunner to tell the story of Daniel Holden at his own pace.

“Rectify” was renewed Wednesday for a fourth season, a day ahead of its Season 3 premiere.

Executive produced by McKinnon, Melissa Bernstein and Mark Johnson, “Rectify” also stars Abigail Spencer, Adelaide Clemens, Clayne Crawford, Luke Kirby, Bruce McKinnon and J. Smith-Cameron.

“Rectify” returns for Season 3 on Thursday, July 9 at 10 p.m.
