The 4.5-acre parcel at 4401 W. Sunset Blvd. is assessed at $14.1 million

The KCET studio complex, a prominent Sunset Boulevard property, may be sold to the Church of Scientology, the Los Angeles Times is reporting.

The station parted with PBS in January and plans to move to smaller facilities, the newspaper reported.

The station has two control rooms, postproduction facilities, a news and talk show set, construction facilities and two sound stages. The 4.5-acre parcel at 4401 W. Sunset Blvd. is assessed at $14.1 million.

The Church of Scientology owns numerous properties in Los Angeles, including its church at 4810 Sunset Blvd. and its Celebrity Center at 5930 Franklin Ave. The Church also owns a massive printing plant in Los Angeles.
