NBC's upcoming drama "Revolution" — which imagines a future where all sources of energy have disappeared — will help viewers get in the mood with a bicyle-powered screeening next week.
The screening Tuesday in New York City is one of ten screenings planned around the country before before the show's premiere. Cyclists including series star Tim Guinee will pedal to generate enough energy for the screening.
Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to walk or bike to the event, at Hudson River Park's Pier 57. In a Portlandian touch, bikes messengers will be available.
The event will have room for 1,000 guests, and will be first come, first served.
"Revolution," produced by J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau and Eric Kripke, premieres Monday, Sept. 17 at 10 p.m., following "The Voice."
