Watch Rob Gronkowski, Other Super Bowl Players Read Mean Tweets on ‘Kimmel’ (Video)

One fan says J.J. Watt “looks like a fat Macklemore”

Jimmy Kimmel geared up for Sunday’s Super Bowl LI by inviting NFL players Rob Gronkowski, J.J. Watt and Russell Wilson to read mean tweets about themselves. It marked the second NFL edition of “Mean Tweets” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“Odell Beckham Jr transitioned from an exciting new rookie to an extremely lame looking d–head in an alarmingly short amount of time,” read the New York Giants wide receiver.

“I’m tired of people saying Russell Wilson is too short to play quarterback,” read the Seahawks star. “He’s ugly too.”

J.J. Watt apparently “looks like a fat Macklemore,” and Joey Bosa “looks like a dude who wanted to be a magician but his parents made him focus on football.”

“Gronkowski is one of the dumbest people in the world,” read Rob Grownkowski. “I have no problem tweeting this because he probably can’t read it.” His response? “You’re dumb.”

In 2014, Kimmel kicked off football season by inviting Washington Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson, Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant – and former football stars Terrell Owens, Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Strahan to read “Mean Tweets.”

This year’s Super Bowl takes place Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston. The New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons will play, with Lady Gaga as the halftime show act.
