Roger Ebert took to Twitter on Friday to let his followers know that he's feeling "a little better," after posting on Thursday that he's experiencing "a lot of health troubles" and is not "in the best of shape."
"Feeling a little better today, so that's good!" the film critic, who was hospitalized with a broken hip earlier this month, tweeted.

The news was no doubt reassuring to Ebert's fans, following alarming messages he posted on his social-media accounts Thursday.
"I'm aving [sic] a lot of health troubles that are keeping me from doing work and functioning online. Best person to contact is Chaz. Not in best of shape," Ebert, 70, wrote on Facebook page on Thursday, referring to his wife, Chaz Ebert.

Ebert, who typically boasts a prolific online presence, also notified his Twitter followers that health woes were preventing him from communicating.
"Health troubles keeping me offline. damn, damn," Ebert tweeted.
In addition to the recent broken hip, Ebert was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2002, and has undergone multiple surgeries to remove cancer.
However, by Friday morning, Ebert was apparently feeling well enough to joke around. He also tweeted a link to his latest entry in the weekly New Yorker cartoon caption contest.
The entry, which accompanied a Joseph Farris cartoon depicting two skiers crawling through the desert, read, "'Sports R Us' Rn't us."
