Roger Ebert Takes High Road on Sheen Cancer Comments

Sheen said it was “pretty f—ing cool” that Ebert battled cancer and Siskel died

Roger Ebert is taking a pass on striking back at Charlie Sheen.

In a show in Tampa, Fla., on Friday, Sheen was asked about a critique of his performance in "Wall Street" by Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel.

His interview, a local radio personality, said, "Now, one of them is dead and cancer ate the other one's f—ing face off. Now that is winning," according to the St. Petersburg Times.

"I didn't wish that upon them at all," Sheen said. "But in hindsight, it's pretty f—ing cool."

Asked for comment by The Daily, Ebert said the review was "mild, mild, mild. … Jeez. I've praised him in so many movies," and left it at that.
