Watch the 2017 Rose Parade (Livestream)

You can watch the parade live from Pasadena right here

Ready to watch the 128th Rose Parade? We’ve posted it for your viewing pleasure above.

The annual five-and-a-half mile march down Colorado Boulevard is also available across a variety of television channels, including ABC, NBC, Hallmark Channel, HGTV and Los Angeles’s KTLA5 — the source of the livestream above. (If you can’t see the video, trying clicking at KTLA 5, Hallmark Channel, or HGTV.)

Univision, RFD-TV, Sky Link TV and Family Net are also showing the Rose Parade. For our military members abroad, the American Forces Network will carry the route to the Rose Bowl game. Non-U.S. readers can find other international partners here.

Rural Radio on Sirius XM will cover the Rose Parade, and so will ESPN3, which is basically the combination of the ESPN app and the WatchESPN app.

By the way, if you’re wondering why this thing is taking place on January 2 instead of Jan. 1, it’s because of the Rose Parade’s “Never on Sunday” tradition, which started in 1893. That was the first year since the beginning of the Tournament that New Year’s Day fell on a Sunday — and organizers weren’t having that.

The Tournament wanted to avoid frightening horses that would be hitched outside churches and thus interfering with worship services so the events were moved to the next day, Jan. 2. Though horses are no longer outside local churches, the tradition remains to this day.
