Roseanne Barr Defends Valerie Jarrett Tweet: ‘I Thought the Bitch Was White!’ (Video)

Disgraced “Roseanne” star screams through clip from her promised response interview

Well, we finally got that on-camera interview Roseanne Barr promised us, during which she explains her “Planet of the Apes” tweet directed at former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett.

“I thought the bitch was white!” she screams in the YouTube clip. “Goddamnit! I thought the bitch was white!”

“F—!” she adds.

The snippet from the interview was released late Thursday on Barr’s YouTube page. It was posted with the following description: “Roseanne, like always, cuts through the bulls— and gets the heart of the matter.”

In late May, a tweet from Barr described Jarrett — who is of European and African-American descent — as if “Muslim brotherhood & Planet of the apes had a baby.” Barr initially blamed a series of her unhinged tweets on sleep-aid drug Ambien.

Earlier this month, Barr announced that she was preparing for her first TV interview since being fired by ABC over the Jarrett tweet. A few days later, she changed her mind.

“After a lot of thought, I decided that I won’t be doing any TV interviews, too stressful & untrustworthy 4 me & my fans,” the comedian wrote then on Twitter.

That’s when Barr promised what we guess this is — a way to explain the social media snafu on her own terms.
