Ryan Guzman Joins NBC’s ‘Heroes Reborn’ Event Series

Gatlin Green also cast on miniseries led by Zachary Levi and Jack Coleman

“The Boy Next Door” star Ryan Guzman has been cast on NBC’s “Heroes Reborn” miniseries reboot of its popular superhero series, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Additionally, Gatlin Green has also been cast on the show, which will be led by Jack Coleman, returning to the role of HRG aka Noah Bennett, and Zachary Levi, who will be playing a new character. Other actors who are on board to play new characters include Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh and Henry Zebrowski.

Creator and executive producer Tim Kring returns for “Heroes Reborn,” alongside executive producers Peter Elkoff and James Middleton. Imperative Entertainment produces in association with Universal Television.

The limited series will air on NBC, NBC’s digital platforms, Hulu and VOD. The network will debut a prequel series in advance of the premiere.

Guzman starred in “Step Up Revolution” and “Step Up All In” before landing the male lead role opposite Jennifer Lopez in Blumhouse thriller “The Boy Next Door.” His upcoming projects include a live-action remake of “Jem and the Holograms” and Richard Linklater‘s “Boyhood” follow-up, “That’s What I’m Talking About.”

Guzman is represented by CAA and Luber Roklin.

Green, whose past credits include shows like “Criminal Minds” and Disney Channel’s “Liv & Maddie” and indie film “Finding Cody,” is represented by CESD and Evolution.
