The Merc With a Mouth is hitting the road and hitching a ride to San Diego Comic-Con, according to a social media post by “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds.

In a photo posted to Twitter by Reynolds, Deadpool wears a poncho and a sombrero and holds up a cardboard sign saying, “Comic Con, Por Favor.”

Reynolds, who played Deadpool in the 2009 film “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” captioned the picture with “Hey #SDCC, Thank you for being a friend…”

The actor reprises the role in “Deadpool,” set to be released on February 12, 2016 by Marvel Enterprises and Twentieth Century Fox. The film also stars Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller and Brianna Hildebrand. It will be directed by Tim Miller and produced by Simon Kinberg, Reynolds and Lauren Shuler Donner.

Comic-Con takes place July 9-12 at the San Diego Convention Center. The “Deadpool” panel will most likely be a part of Fox’s Saturday panel from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Reynolds has shared a number of Deadpool related items on social media in recent months, including an image of the Marvel character delivering a baby on Mother’s Day and another of the character stretched out on a bearskin rug.

The post kicked off a Twitter exchange with his costars that Reynolds concluded with, of course, a Deadpool-like final word:
