SenGupta Promoted at MTV Networks’ Entertainment Group

In new role will oversee production for scripted, reality and animated series,

Momita SenGupta has been named senior vice president, production, MTV Networks’ Entertainment Group, which consists of Comedy Central, Spike TV, and TV Land as well as the Internet sites Atom.com and Gametrailers. com.

In her new role, SenGupta will oversee all physical production for long form scripted, reality and animated series, specials and tent-poles, as well as on-air promotions for the various channels. In addition, she will supervise all daily production operations, technical personnel, production budgets and production planning.

SenGupta joined MTV Films in 1995 and worked on such movies as “Election,” “Kings Of Comedy,” “Jackass 1 & 2” and “Pootie Tang.” Since 2006, SenGupta has been senior vice president, series production, for all MTV series and pilots on the west coast.
