It was a busy week in the world of politics, and as has become very common the last couple seasons, Weekend Update on “SNL” has been just as busy keeping up with everything going on. This week, hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost dealt with President Trump’s firing of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, special counsel Robert Mueller issuing a subpoena to the Trump Organization, the possibility that Trump made a sex tape with Stormy Daniels, and more.

This week’s host, Bill Hader, popped in as Stefon, a recurring character he played when he was in the “SNL” cast. You can watch that portion of Weekend Update right here and the rest of Weekend Update in the videos at the bottom of this post.

“This week the national unemployment rate held steady at 4 percent, while the White House unemployment rate rose to all of them,” Jost said, as a collage of Trump administration folks who either quit or were fired appeared on screen. “The crazy thing is, I’m starting to feel sorry for all these people Trump is firing even though I thought they were terrible at their jobs. I mean six months ago, could you imagine thinking, ‘Hang in there, Jeff Sessions’?

“The latest victim was former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who was fired two days before he was set to retire on his 50th birthday, so he couldn’t collect his full pension. Damn, man, that’s cold. Even the Joker is like, ‘You don’t treat people like that.’ I love that Trump is being extra mean to the FBI guy who’s definitely about to testify against him. It’s like walking in and announcing to the whole restaurant that you’re not tipping anyone before they make your food.”

That wasn’t the only unfavorable comparison Trump had to suffer on Weekend Update — Che also compared him to Domino’s Pizza.

“Insiders are saying that more major staff shake-ups could be coming to the White House. Trump is firing people like he’s trying to get us under the salary cap or something,” Che said. “It’s kinda a little too late. It’s like when those Domino’s commercials say, ‘At Domino’s we’re making some changes.’ You’re like, yeah, but you’re still Domino’s.”

Che also raised some serious questions about how a potential Donald Trump sex tape may not deliver exactly what we’re expecting.

“Stormy Daniels has offered to return the $130,000 she was paid so she can release any texts, photos or videos she has with Donald Trump. For what? So this lady is trying to show us revenge porn of a grandpa and we’re just okay with that? What are you expecting to see?” Che asked. “What if it’s good? Are you prepared for that? Are you prepared to see Donald Trump tear up some a–? I mean, he’s six-three and dumb as rocks, you don’t know what he’s working with down there.”

Jost quipped about how Mueller’s subpoena of the Trump Organization might not work out — not because the Trump family is good at hiding stuff, but because they’re too disorganized.

“By the way, ‘Trump Organization’ is a maybe the greatest oxymoron in history. Have you ever seen Trump’s desk?” Jost joked. “He’s just a full hoarder. Good luck finding Russian evidence under some old McDonald’s wrappers, a pile of unsigned non-disclosure agreements and macaroni Father’s Day cards from Eric.”
