Snoop Dogg Sums Up Netflix’s ‘Rhythm + Flow’ in Trailer: ‘This Ain’t ‘The Voice,’ Motherf–er’ (Video)

No, it certainly is not

Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow”  will give up-and-coming emcees one shot to lose themselves in the music, the moment. They’ll need to own it, and better never let it go.

Before we get sued by Eminem and “8 Mile” producers, here’s the streaming series’ official synopsis:

Global superstars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and Tip “T.I.” Harris search for the next hip hop sensation in “Rhythm + Flow,” Netflix’s first music competition show. The series brings together industry legends across a multi-city search in hip hop epicenters Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago, to find raw talent and help undiscovered artists pursue their come up.

Yes, it’s another music competition, but as guest judge Snoop Dogg says in the trailer: “This ain’t ‘The Voice,’ motherf—er.”

Additional guest talent will include Quavo, Fat Joe, Anderson .Paak, Royce da 5’9,” Nipsey Hussle, Big Boi, Killer Mike, Twista, Lupe Fiasco, Jadakiss, Ebro, Miguel, Teyana Taylor, Jhené Aiko, Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Khaled, Smack, King Los, Sounwave, Hit-Boy, London on da Track, Tay Keith, Denaro Love, Off-the-Wall, Kal Banx, G-Dav, John Legend, DJ Hed, DJ Oreo, DJ Scratch, DJ Holiday, Charm La’Donna, and Adam Blackstone.

“Rhythm + Flow” will roll out its 10 hour-long episodes a bit differently than typical Netflix series do.

The show’s four audition episodes will debut on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The following Wednesday, its three “Cyphers, Rap Battles & Music Videos” episodes get uploaded. Finally, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, Episodes 8-10 — the “Samples, Collaborations & Finale” episodes — will be made available for subscribers.
