The second episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 12 saw new judges Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo playing matchmaker as two aspiring contestants found love even if they don’t find fame.

The Fox reality competition along with judge-executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and host Cat Deeley rolled into the Detroit on Monday as the Motor City pulled out its hottest moves for the new Stage vs. Street theme.

The judges loved first contestant Christine — but she was in love with Derulo, “I kept getting distracted!” she said about performing in front of her crush.

Other contestants included the self-proclaimed “Queen of Detroit” and a pair of lovebirds who fell head over heels for each other after they met in line last year and are now engaged.

“Oh my God, it’s like a proper obsession,” Deeley marveled. Fortunately the judges didn’t tear them apart, and both made it through to the next round in Las Vegas.

While most contestants have been dancing all their lives, one rookie only started two months ago and his wiggling moves got not only the judges, but the entire audience up “doing the creep.” While it was highly amusing and “made everyone really happy,” Lythgoe said, it wasn’t good enough to proceed.

By the end of “So You Think You Can Dance’s” trip to their third city, 55 dancers were joining mentor Travis Wall’s  on Team Stage and 60 joined Stephen “Twitch” Boss on Team Street.

The show next travels to Los Angeles for Hollywood auditions.

“So You Think You Can Dance” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
