USA Network’s “Royal Pains” has just outdone itself when it comes to guest castings.
TheWrap has learned that veteran actress Sonia Braga will join the breezy drama in a recurring role on the currently-airing sixth season.
Braga will play Lorena Correia, grandmother to Divya’s (Reshma Shetty) baby Sashi and her ex mother-in-law. Things heat up between the women when Divya visits Lorena in Argentina and their relationship becomes even more complicated.

Braga’s scenes will be filmed on location in Mexico and her episodes will air in August.
She joins previously announced recurring guest stars Gillian Alexy, Patrick Breen, Jeremy Davidson, Martha Higareda and Natalie Hall.
Nominated for three Golden Globes and an Emmy Award, Braga is best known for her performances in “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” “Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands” and “Moon Over Parador.” Her television credits include “Sex and the City,” “Alias” and “American Family.”
