The cast includes such  Almodóvar favorites Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, as well as "Sex and Lucia" star Paz Vega.

Written and directed by Almodóvar, it begins production in July and is set for release in summer 2013.

No word on the plot, but based on the Spanish director's past work, it will probably be a feast for the eyes. Don't get too attached to that title, either — the announcement from Sony Pictures Classics tellingly says the picture is "currently" christened "I'm So Excited."

The film also stars Javier Cámara, Cecilia Roth, Lola Dueñas, Raul Arévalo, Carlos Areces, Antonio de la Torre, Hugo Silva, Willy Toledo, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Blanca Suárez, José Luis Torrijo, and José María Yazpik, Laya Martí.

Almodóvar most recently collaborated with Banderas on the horror homage, "The Skin I  Live In."
