Spike Jonze-Kanye West Collaboration Debuts

11-minute music video hit the web Monday morning.

Spike Jonze isn’t content to simply rule the multiplexes.

After burning up the box office over the weekend with his "Where the Wild Things Are," Jonze is dominating the web with his music video "We Were Once a Fairy Tale" — an 11-minute collaboration with Kanye West.

After appearing briefly on the rap star’s site over the weekend, "Fairy Tale" hit YouTube on Monday morning. It features West drunkenly hitting on women and dancing in a club to his song "See You in My Nightmares."

The short — which also features an aborted sex scene with the singer — ends with West stabbing himself with a sword in a bathroom.

Jonze has extensive experience in the music video realm. The Oscar-nominated director originally came to prominence for his work on videos for the likes of Weezer, Beastie Boys and Bjork.
