Superhero films and Disney movies have topped Fandango’s list of the most anticipated films of 2017, which included “Star Wars: Episode VIII,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “Beauty and the Beast” in the first three spots.

Warner Bros.’ “Wonder Woman” and Sony’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” followed, with “Justice League,” “The Fate of the Furious” and “Fifty Shades Darker” closely behind in the ticketing site’s annual survey of moviegoers.

Hugh Jackman’s final stint as Wolverine, “Logan,” also made the cut, as did “Despicable Me 3.”

The most anticipated actresses included Emma Watson for “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Circle,” Daisy Ridley (who will star in “Episode VIII” and “Murder on the Orient Express”) and Jennifer Lawrence, who will star in “Red Sparrow” and an untitled Darren Aronofsky project.

Among actors, people are looking forward most to seeing Chris Pratt reprise his role as Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The second spot went to Dwayne Johnson, who has a busy year coming up with “Jumanji,” “The Fate of the Furious” and “Baywatch.” Jackman, Idris Elba and Chris Hemsworth also made the list.

Gal Gadot was named the year’s rising female movie star, while Tom Holland secured the male rising star spot.

“The new year promises a lot of excitement at the multiplex with a much-heralded return of beloved characters and stories highlighting the year’s top three most anticipated movies,  ‘Episode VIII,’ ‘Guardians 2,’ and the live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast,’” Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said in a statement. “2017 also looks to offer more diverse ensembles, long-awaited big-screen adaptations, and enough surprising choices to delight a broad range of moviegoers.”
