“Avatar” baddie Stephen Lang will star in the similar Fox television series “Terra Nova,” TheWrap has confirmed.
Lang co-stars with Jason O’Mara. The series is produced by DreamWorks Television, Kapital Entertainment, and Chernin Entertainment, and is currently scheduled to hit the airwaves in the fall of 2011.
The network has high hopes for the science fiction drama, which centers on a band of travelers from the future who venture back to prehistoric times. Lang will play Frank Taylor, the leader of the settlement. Production is slated to begin in Australia next month.
Lang is on a roll of late. In addition to playing the villain in Cameron’s 3D blockbuster, Lang scored a memorable supporting role in “Public Enemies” and will have a key part in the upcoming remake of “Conan: The Barbarian.”
