Carell and McCarthy are among the first batch of presenters announced by MTV on Friday.

Zac Efron, Kerry Washington and Amanda Seyfried will also be among the honor-bestowers.

A number of co-star pairings will also be handing out kudos at the awards show. Seth Rogen and Danny McBride, who share the screen in the upcoming comedy "This is the End," will dole out a trophy, as will Chris Rock and Adam Sandler of "Grown Ups 2." The "Star Trek" trio of Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto — whose sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness" hits the screen May 17, will also be on hand to present.

Hosted by "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson, the 2013 MTV Movie Awards will air Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m. on — duh — MTV.
