Emile Hirsch went to the Sundance Film Festival for his latest film, “Ten Thousand Saints,” but may be leaving with an assault charge.

“Currently this is an active case that we’re still investigating,” Park City Police Department spokesman Phil Kirk told TheWrap. “We’ll be submitting the case to the Summit County Attorney’s Office for screening as soon as we complete the investigation.”

Page Six reports that an anonymous female Paramount Pictures executive called Park City police to Tao nightclub at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday after telling security that Hirsch, 29, had assaulted her.

A spokeswoman for Paramount had no comment when TheWrap reached out on Monday.

Details are scarce, as TheWrap has not yet been able to track down a member of the Park City Police Department with knowledge of the situation. The actor’s representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment, either.

A witness told Page Six that Hirsch remained at the scene to speak with police until about 5 a.m., then went home with friends.

No arrests were reportedly made; however, it may only be because the studio executive did not press charges at the scene. A source told Page Six she may have been considering filing a criminal complaint later that day.

“We are still investigating the details of the case and can’t provide any further information at this time,” a department spokesperson previously told the media.
