‘T.I & Tiny’ Spinoff Gets Greenlight From VH1

Series will follow Tameka “Tiny” Harris and her hair stylist as they travel the country, promoting their mobile hair-salon business

VH1 has given the go-ahead to “Tiny & Shekinah’s Weave Trip,” a spinoff of its reality offering “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

The new offering will focus on Harris and her best friend/hair stylist Shekinah Jo as they travel about this great land of ours, promoting their mobile hair-salon business.

The series, which has received an order for eight half-hour episodes, will premiere Oct. 13 at 9:30 p.m.

“With a true passion for flawless hair that just couldn’t be restricted to the Atlanta city limits, these ladies are taking their talents and philosophy that ‘everyone deserves fabulous hair’ on the road. From The Voodoo Shop in New Orleans to the Navajo Nation in Arizona, no place is safe when Tiny and Shekinah hit the road,” VH1 said of the upcoming offering. “The dynamic duo is ready to leave their comfort zone and experience new cultures, all while being out of their element, starting their new business venture and adjusting to life on the road. Along the way expect an adventure no one will ever forget, a good dose of laughs, some mishaps, a bit of drama and a healthy amount of shenanigans as the ladies work to get their mobile salon off the ground.”

T.I. & Tiny” team Christian Sarabia, Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov created and will executive produce the new series, with Susan Levison, Jill Holmes and Kristen Kelly executive producing for VH1.
