Tal Rabinowitz Tapped to Head NBC’s Comedy Programming

Former Sony executive previously developed “Reba” and “The Big C”

Tal Rabinowitz has been named executive vice president of comedy programming for NBC, the network announced Friday.

Rabinowitz previously headed comedy development and digital programming for Sony Pictures Television.

She will replace Jeff Ingold, who is departing the company.

Rabinowitz will take the helm in early June, NBC said.

At Sony, Rabinowitz developed "Happy Endings” for ABC, “The Big C” for Showtime, and Fox's “Breaking In”.

Prior to that, Rabinowitz was director of comedy development for the WB Television Network from 2001-05, where she helped to develop “Reba,” “What I Like About You” and “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.”
