Like many people who undergoing a major life change, Tamron Hall is cleaning out her closet.

In Hall’s case, the closet-cleaning is literal.

Hall, who departed from NBC’s “Today” and MSNBC this week, gave an update on her activities via Twitter on Thursday.

As it turns out, Hall spent her new time off getting rid of some old rags.

“Today was a good day!!!” Hall wrote in a caption to a Twitter video published Thursday. “Thank y’all so much.”

“OK, what have I been doing all day today?” Hall says in the video, while standing amid packed bags of clothes.

Announcing that she was donating the duds to the New York City charity Housing Works — “one of my favorite organizations,” — Hall declared, “I’ve got work clothes, I’ve got party clothes, I have packed up a mother lode.”

“And look, you’re getting a whole lot of my stuff. See you soon!” Hall concluded.

News broke Wednesday that Hall is leaving NBC News and MSNBC when her contract expires at the end of the month, but had already made her last on-air appearance.

TheWrap learned that NBC executives informed Hall and the “Today” staff last week that the 9 a.m. hour was being canceled to make room for a new program led by NBC’s pricey new hire, former Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Hall’s last day on air for the networks was Tuesday. Al Roker will continue to co-host “Today” during the 9 a.m. hour until a new morning lineup begins this fall that includes Kelly.

“The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful,” Hall said in a statement. “I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.”
