The Mark Taper Forum in downtown Los Angeles will premiere a musical by songwriter Randy Newman ("Toy Story") in November 2010.
"Harps and Angels" will feature songs previously written by Newman, arranged in a way to tell a story about the American experience, according to Center Theatre Group. Among songs to be featured are "Sail Away," "You’ve Got a Friend in Me" and "I Love L.A."
The musical, conceived by Jujamcyn’s Jack Viertel, will run Nov. 21-Dec. 19, 2010.
