Hopefully Taylor Swift can shake this off. If not, maybe there’s a new song in it for her.

“Speak Now” singer Swift was eviscerated over the weekend, after expressing her support for Saturday’s Women’s March, following President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday.

“So much love, pride, and respect for those who marched. I’m proud to be a woman today, and every day,” Swift tweeted, along with the hashtag #WomensMarch.

A perfectly lovely sentiment — and one that, in this age of social-media bile-spitting, was promptly trashed on Twitter.

One critic accused Swift of “gross opportunism,” adding, “Be better.”

“@taylorswift13 stop using feminism as a prop to fuel your fake girl power narrative/meticulously crafted PR persona,” another detractor hissed.

“[I]t’s transparent as f— and getting pretty old. you only speak about feminism when it’s ‘cool’ & can benefit you personally,” went another poison-penned reply.

Another bone of contention for many Twitter users: Swift’s previous silence on political matters when expressing her viewpoint might have made a difference.

“@taylorswift13 then why didn’t you say anything during the presidential campaign when we could’ve made it so that this didn’t have to happen,” asked one Twitter user.

“@taylorswift13 f— you,” one particularly blunt response read. “you stayed quiet all through the election process to ensure your record sales wouldn’t fall victim to a divided USA.”

In fairness, Swift did have her supporters in the flap over her Women’s March tweet.

“Taylor Swift is such a precious sweetheart and it hurts me every time I see a hate tweet towards her, she doesn’t deserve it. Nobody does,” one Swift defender wrote.

“Wow, gotta love when women will go out of their way to march for equality and feminism ~ yet come after Taylor Swift FOR WHAT???” went another show of support.

“HEY CHRIS you’re exactly the kind of person women are marching against today to make a point,” a response to a Swift detractor read. “Literally WOW.”

“I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, but bringing down a WOMAN at the Women’s March…? … 2+2=5,” another defense read.
