‘The View’ Hosts Cringe Over Ted Cruz’s Awkward ‘Star Wars’ Impressions (Video)

GOP candidate probably won’t get any voiceover work on “Episode VIII”

The co-hosts of “The View” don’t want to hear your Yoda and Darth Vader impressions, Ted Cruz — not even the conservative Candace Cameron Bure.

The GOP candidate pulled out his “Star Wars” impersonations recently at a campaign event, a viral moment that is apparently helping him in the polls.

In reality, the impressions were more awkward than they were bad — and that’s saying something.

After the ABC talker rolled the cringe-worthy clip, comedian Michelle Collins perfectly described her “second-hand embarrassment” over having witnessed the moment even on video.

“I don’t think that presidential candidates should be doing impressions, in general,” Cameron Bure opined.

The “Fuller House” star then implored Marco Rubio to not break out any impersonations.

Cruz concluded his brief-yet-uncomfortable on-camera interview: “That’s America, and I’m really excited about the new ‘Star Wars’ movie.”

Raven-Symone and Whoopi Goldberg then teased another classic Cruz quote about condoms, which the duo shared after a commercial break. We didn’t include that one in our video, because there was very little in the way of payoff, and about the same in terms of context.
