Clearly, producers (or Netflix) are keen on assigning one-word descriptions to the characters. The word for Olivia Colman’s Queen Elizabeth II was “patience” — see her first-look photo here.
Vanessa Kirby played Princess Margaret on the first two seasons of the royal drama. Matthew Goode was Lord Snowdon.
The way Netflix has worked (and is expected to continue to work) this particular show is to swap out its actors every two seasons, which means that Bonham Carter will likely smoke that long cigarette for Seasons 3 and 4 before it’s puff-puff-passed to a new actress. And don’t get too comfortable behind that camera (or in front of Netflix’s), Daniels.
